In between game industry events

28th September 2009 by Thomas

istock_000008775670xsmallThis summer has proved to be very busy for ICO Partners. We attended a good number of events while still working for our different clients for a variety of projects. We went to GC Online in Leipig, to Gamescom in Cologne, had a stealth visit of PAX in Seattle (and left flu-free) and we just got back the GDC Austin in Texas. The travelling is almost over.

Almost.

Next week, both Thomas and Diane will be in Korea. The trip is serving two purposes. The first one is to actually meet with clients (current and future) that are based there. Surprisingly (or not?) a lot of our work  has come from Asia lately.

The second reason is that Thomas is speaking at the KGC. And because they like him so much, he won’t give one lecture but two:

- The European Online Game Market – A presentation of the territory, with a snapshot of the market, tailored to the Asian audience.

- European Players: Behaviours and play patterns – This lecture will delve into what are the players expecting in games nowadays in Europe, with the idea to educate local designers on fundamental game culture differences.

That will certainly keep him busy between now in the event. If you want to meet us when in Korea, don’t hesitate to contact us.

The “event season” shall come to and end for us with the London Game Conference to be held at the end of October where Thomas will be sitting on a panel on the future of the  games business models.
